Updating Our Bounty Programme: Expanding Impact Across Key Climate Methodologies

At DLT Earth, we are committed to accelerating innovation in climate solutions by incentivising high-quality contributions across critical environmental methodologies. As part of this mission, we are pleased to announce an update to our Bounty Programme, expanding the scope of eligible methodologies and increasing opportunities for contributors to engage with impactful climate work.
Why We’re Updating the Programme
The carbon market and broader climate ecosystem are evolving rapidly. To stay aligned with emerging standards, scientific advancements, and market needs, we are refreshing our bounty offerings to:
- Encourage deeper engagement with high-impact methodologies
- Support innovation across diverse sectors, including agriculture, forestry, waste, and energy
- Enable contributors to focus on areas with significant potential for emissions reduction and sustainability outcomes
Newly Updated Bounties
The following methodologies are now included in our updated bounty programme:
Agriculture, Waste & Methane Reduction
- ACM0010 – GHG emission reductions from manure management systems
- ACM0014 – Treatment of wastewater
- Animal manure management and biogas use for thermal energy generation (AWMS) v.2.0
These methodologies focus on reducing methane and other greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural and waste systems—key areas for near-term climate impact.
Forestry & Land Use
- VM0010 – Improved Forest Management: Conversion from Logged to Protected Forest (v1.4)
- VM0032 – Adoption of Sustainable Grasslands through Adjustment of Fire and Grazing (v1.0)
- Soil Protocol 3.0 (BCarbon)
These approaches support ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and long-term carbon sequestration.
Circular Economy & Resource Efficiency
- VM0046 – Reducing Food Loss and Waste (v1.0)
Addressing inefficiencies in food systems is critical for reducing emissions and improving global sustainability.
Water & Energy Access
- AMS-III.AV – Low greenhouse gas emitting safe drinking water production systems
This methodology promotes access to clean water while minimising emissions, particularly in underserved regions.
Cooking Energy & Biogas Innovations
We are also expanding our focus on clean cooking and energy transition methodologies, including:
- Methodology for Metered & Measured Energy Cooking Devices (MECD) 2.0
- Simplified Methodology for Clean and Efficient Cookstoves (SMEC) 4.0
- CLEAR Methodology for Cooking Energy Transitions
These methodologies play a vital role in reducing reliance on traditional biomass, improving health outcomes, and supporting sustainable land use.
